Hey,

I’m Alex

Born the youngest of three to Lisa and Ron Walker here in Bothell, Washington. Dad was a national champion junior college football player and youth program president for twenty years, so naturally both me and my older brothers grew up playing. I can always remember being jealous when I was left behind while Dad took my brothers (five and seven years my senior) to the gym to train for football. Some of my earliest memories are actually playing flag football out at canyon park junior high.

By the time of I was twelve my father had decided I was old enough and he was able to get me a membership at a local gym, i normally would have been too young but his friend was the owner and made it happen. I became hooked immediately. Dad taught me his best and and i became noticeably bigger and stronger than my teammates. By the end of spring my first year at Bothell I had made multiple record boards in the snatch and clean and jerk. My sophomore year I injured my lower back and bit became very apparent to me that I had no idea how to lift weights properly. So since I was sixteen years old its been my goal to help share my knowledge to help other athletes prevent injuries and train more effectively. If i had known about weightlifting as a sport back then i probably would have quit football to pursue it full time. Alas it was not, and i ended up playing college lacrosse at Central Washington University where I studied exercise science. After school I began working in the local box gyms gaining experience and further knowledge in strength and conditioning. After becoming the head coach and manager of a local strength gym for a number of years it became my dream to work with peopl online worldwide. Turns out dreams do come true!

Shoot me a message and let’s get you lifting!
